What is the Enneagram?

The Enneagram is thought to be the oldest transformational human development model / map in existence – its roots go back five thousand years.

Like all timeless wisdom, the Enneagram transcends its ancient origins and is forever contemporary in its incredible accuracy and practical application. The Enneagram Typology consists of nine different world views or lenses through which we see the world. There are nine sets of ‘blueprints’ that make up personality and ego – all linked to the ‘transpersonal’ gifts of the soul.

The weekend will consist of a variety of activities including comprehensive instruction regarding how the system works, application of the system and an in-depth exploration of the nine different types of people, group and solo work.

Gordon Melvin originally trained as an artist and was ordained an Anglican priest in 1988. He worked for many years as a chaplain in the NHS. He left the NHS in 2004 to teach the Enneagram. He now runs Enneagram classes in several different countries - always in the context of spiritual practice and meditation.

The workshop is being held for men who have who come across the Enneagram through Richard Rohr’s work or through the Men’s Rites of Passage. It is not intended to be exclusively for ‘Initiated’ men, but for men seeking to deeper their own spiritual practice.
