St Collen’s church is an ancient building with some stunning architectural features. Over the years the building has changed and adapted to meet the needs of the community it serves and the diverse groups within it. However, the move away from traditional church attendance creates a need for greater flexibility to facilitate wider community engagement with secular as well as sacred events.
In a modern society, the building needs to offer an accessible, warm, and hospitable welcome. Inclusivity must be at the heart of the re-ordered building, ensuring that everyone who visits this beautiful place feels a sense of welcome and belonging.
