Today we said goodbye to our dear friend Jane, a true and unforgettable Llangollen character.
She brought light, laughter and a great, generous heart to this town. With her big voice, bigger smile and that ever-present bicycle and ringing bell, she seemed to be everywhere, always calling out a warm hello, always spreading joy and light.
Her authenticity, kindness and positivity touched so many lives, and it was reflected in the very well-attended service today. She was loved by everyone who knew her, and she will be deeply missed.
Many of us will remember how, during the sharing of the Peace on Sunday mornings, Jane would turn around with that bright smile, lift her voice and call out, “Peace be with you, everyone!” Today, as we remember her, we hold on to that same peace she shared so freely. Peace be with you, Jane, and with all who miss her.
